The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors recently joined owners Nick Fincher and Dale Lawson to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting for their new business, 2 Texans Automotive, located at 1413 South Main Street, in Bluffton.
Fincher and Lawson, longtime friends originally from Texas and Virginia, have turned their shared love for vehicles into a business that reflects their passion, experience, and commitment to helping others. The pair first met through family friends and reconnected after a decade apart. What began as a casual conversation about cars and future goals evolved into an exciting opportunity to open a shop together.
“So many people have asked us, ‘Why Wells County?’” shared Fincher with a smile. “The answer is simple — the people. Everyone here has been so welcoming and supportive. It feels like home, and that’s exactly the kind of place we wanted to build our business.”
2 Texans Automotive provides a wide variety of automotive services, including suspension work, oil changes, wiring, trailer repair, welding, and tire services. While they don’t rebuild or swap engines, they take care of nearly everything else — from brake work and valve cover gaskets to lighting and sensor replacements. Their focus is on dependable, affordable, and honest repairs for everyday drivers.
One of the features that sets 2 Texans Automotive apart is their no-credit-needed financing option through Snap Finance. Customers can be approved instantly for up to $5,000 with as little as $15 down. Fincher explained that offering flexible payment options is a way to give back to the community. “We’re the only shop in town that offers this kind of financing,” he said. “It’s important to us to help people get back on the road safely, even if money is tight. Sometimes it’s not just about fixing a car — it’s about helping someone get to work, take their kids to school, or keep their independence.”
The shop is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment. They accept cash, debit, credit, and digital payment options, with no checks accepted. Customers can call or text 254-203-0962 to schedule service or request a quote.
“The community has really made us feel at home,” added Lawson. “Other shop owners have already stopped by to introduce themselves and offer help. Bluffton has that small-town, family feel that’s hard to find, and we couldn’t ask for a better place to get started.”
