BLUFFTON, IN (October 22, 2026) — The City of Bluffton has officially proclaimed October 21, 2026, as Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day, recognizing the important role chambers of commerce play in strengthening businesses, building partnerships, and creating thriving communities.

The proclamation was read and signed by the Mayor during a gathering in the Mayor’s office on October 21, joined by Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Chamber supporters who came together to recognize the occasion.

The proclamation recognizes the Wells County Chamber of Commerce’s longstanding commitment to serving the local business community since its founding in 1914. Today, the Chamber supports more than 500 member businesses and organizations through programs, resources, advocacy, and opportunities that foster engagement, collaboration, and connection throughout Wells County.

Chambers of commerce serve as trusted resources for businesses, residents, and community partners. Through bold leadership, innovative problem-solving, and strategic partnerships, they help address community challenges, advance economic prosperity, enhance quality of life, and create opportunities for residents and businesses to grow.

“We are honored to have the City of Bluffton recognize the important role of the Chamber and the impact our members make throughout Wells County,” said Erin Prible, Executive Director of the Wells County Chamber of Commerce. “Our Chamber is built on the strength of our connections. Every day, we work to bring businesses and people together, provide resources and opportunities, advocate for our business community, and create an environment where our members and communities can thrive. This proclamation is a wonderful reminder that when we support local businesses and invest in those connections, our entire community benefits.”

The proclamation encourages Wells County residents to learn more about their local chamber, understand its impact, and support the businesses and organizations that contribute to the community’s vitality.

Founded in 1914, the Wells County Chamber of Commerce continues to serve as a resource and connector for the local business community, working to strengthen its members and foster positive community growth.
