Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and Ambassadors surprised The Wright Insurance Company by naming it the October Member of the Month. The recognition honors Brandon Wright and his team for their commitment to clients, community involvement, and relationships throughout Wells County.

Founded by Brandon Wright in 2016, The Wright Insurance Company has grown from humble beginnings into a thriving local insurance agency. What started with Brandon working from a laptop in an apartment has become a business built on relationships, personal service, and a commitment to helping clients find coverage that best fits their needs.

For Brandon, that commitment to service has always been at the heart of the business. He believes insurance should be more than simply providing a policy—it should mean being a trusted partner for clients when they need it most.

“Do you have a policy, or do you have a partner?” Brandon said. “If you have a policy, you really need a partner.”

That focus on relationships extends beyond the office. Since moving to the Bluffton area, Brandon and his wife, Jena, have made community involvement and giving back a priority.

“When Jena and I moved here, we believed being part of a community meant getting involved and giving back,” Brandon said. “Although I was an outsider starting a business, Bluffton welcomed us with open arms. We love being involved and giving back whenever we can.”

As The Wright Insurance Company has grown, Brandon has pursued new ways to strengthen the agency and serve clients. A recent partnership with Insurance Management Group (IMG) gives the agency access to additional insurance carriers, expanded claims management support, and greater resources while preserving its local identity and client-focused approach.

“The name on the door doesn’t change. We just become part of a bigger, better network,” Brandon explained.

For Trent Dailey, owner of Insurance Management Group, the partnership was built on more than business opportunity. It was built on shared values and a similar approach to serving clients.

“When we look to partner with different agencies, probably the most important thing for us is the person,” Dailey said. “We look for people that embody the same values as we do.”

Dailey added that Brandon’s reputation, relationships, and commitment to his clients made The Wright Insurance Company a natural fit for IMG. The partnership gives Brandon and his team additional resources while allowing them to continue doing what they do best—building relationships and serving their clients.

And while Brandon may be the face of the business, he is quick to point out that its success is a team effort. He credits Danica Dunwiddie and Christi Wright for the important role they play in the day-to-day success of the agency.

“I couldn’t do it without my team,” Brandon said.

Danica, who joined the team just before Thanksgiving last year, said she and Brandon work well together because they share a strong emphasis on connections and relationships.

“We’re both people, people,” Danica said. “He might have a connection here, I might have a connection there, and then we usually just fill in the gaps in between.”

That spirit of connection, service, and community involvement is exactly what the Wells County Chamber of Commerce celebrates through its Member of the Month program. The Wright Insurance Company continues to demonstrate what it means to be an engaged local business—supporting its clients, investing in its team, and giving back to the community it calls home.
