Trusted Solutions Group Breaks Ground on $3.4 Million Expansion in Ossian

00 Trusted Solutions Groundbreaking (No Throw)

Trusted Solutions Group, joined by employees, project partners, local officials, and the Wells County Chamber of Commerce, gathered in celebration for the groundbreaking of its new 44,100-square-foot expansion project at 1720 Baker Drive in Ossian. The groundbreaking marked a significant milestone for the company as it continues investing in the future of manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics operations in Wells County.

The $3.4 million project represents Trusted Solutions Group’s first major expansion in approximately 30 years and reflects the company’s continued growth through innovation, collaboration, and customer-focused solutions. Owner Lane Gerber expressed excitement for the future of the company and the opportunities the expansion will create for both customers and employees.

“This expansion gives us the opportunity to continue growing who we are as a company,” said Gerber. “In addition to furniture products and small industrial equipment, we’ve expanded our focus into tailored solutions, assembly services, and direct-ship programs for our customers. This facility will allow us to continue building on that momentum.”

The project will focus heavily on assembly, warehousing, and shipping logistics while enhancing operational efficiency and increasing the company’s ability to provide customized solutions for customers. The expansion will also create additional opportunities for workforce growth in the future.

Briner Building, Inc. is serving as the design-build contractor for the project. Representatives from the company shared their appreciation for the long-standing relationship with Trusted Solutions Group and highlighted the teamwork and coordination between contractors, local officials, and project partners that helped move the project forward.

The expansion includes a Butler® pre-engineered building system designed for long-term durability and future expansion. Additional features include expanded manufacturing and warehouse space, new truck dock systems with hydraulic dock levelers and restraints, office and utility areas, fire protection and ESFR sprinkler systems, modern LED lighting, and energy-efficient insulation systems. The project also includes future-ready expandable endwall construction to support continued growth for years to come.

During the ceremony, Gerber emphasized the importance of the local community and workforce in the company’s continued success. He noted that strong businesses are built not only through innovation and investment, but also through the people and communities that support them.

“It’s easy to be a company. It’s hard to be a great company,” Gerber shared. “Part of what makes a great company is the community you’re part of. Wells County allows businesses to grow and succeed, and we’re grateful for the support we’ve received over the years.”

Construction is currently underway, with completion anticipated by the end of 2026. Once complete, the expansion will allow Trusted Solutions Group to continue evolving its operations while strengthening its commitment to customers, employees, and the Wells County community.
